ANALYSIS OF CAMP DAVID, Akram Haniyeh 20/09/2000

Haniyeh was one of the Palestinian representatives at the discussions of the refugee issue.

Yasser Arafat Speech at UN General Assembly, 1988 13/12/1988
Mr. President, Honorable Members: It never occurred to me that my second meeting with this honorable assembly since 1974 would take place in the hospitable city of Geneva. A bad thought that the new political positions and postures evolved by our Palestinian people in the course of the Algiers meeting of the Palestine National - Council (PNC), all of which have been made public and extremely well received internationally, would have necessitated my travel to the United Nations headquarters in New York to brief you on our resolutions and projections en the issue of peace in our homeland as formulated by our PNC, the highest legislative authority in the Palestinian body politic.

Le proche orient au bout de la paix

In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

Palestine, the land of the three monotheistic faiths, is where the Palestinian Arab people was born, on which it grew, developed, and excelled. The Palestinian people was never separated from or diminished in its integral bonds with Palestine. Thus the Palestinian Arab people ensured for itself an everlasting union between itself, its land, and its history.

ERETZ-ISRAEL [(Hebrew) - the Land of Israel, Palestine] was the birthplace of the Jewish people. Here their spiritual, religious and political identity was shaped. 1947 Speech of David Ben-Gurion 02/10/1947
Political developments have swept us on to a momentous parting of the ways - from Mandate to independence. Today, beyond our ceaseless work in immigration, settlement and campaign, we are set three blazing tasks, whereof fulfilment will condition our perpetuity: defence, a Jewish State and Arab-Jewish Cupertino, in that order of importance and urgency.
